quick couple of photos

So for starter we have a quick pick of the first mash in the mashtun.

Then on to the underback being busy
Then we have the first filling of the wort kettle

Ok that's some pictures to keep peeps happy and to show I'm no longer just talking about it :)
cheers JK

First brew is in and running nicely

So far we have a mash in (I have been here since 5:50am and the mash only went in at 9am, cleaning and waiting for the HLT to reach temperature)
A recipe was written before hand. Basing the brew on things i have done before but with completely new hops. Which I'm looking forward too!
I also have a clean FV1 which was a bit of chore but its now clean and sterile read for the first wort.
I apologise i will post some pictures here later but for now i seem to be suffering technical problems with my camera
Well cheers for now JK

Well it has begun!

The first brew is underway I'm in the brewery it is very early. HLT isn't quite up to temperature and the clean system has decided to blow a seal but hey at least I'm in a powerful little brewery.
Right more post during the day as this could be a long one!
Cheers JK aka a very excitable brewmonkey

Oh HMRC sent me something for the mid-winter festival!

Ok so it is not a christmas card. But it is a start, my first full Beer Duty Return to fill in. Unluckly i won't be filling it with a lot, as there has yet been no beer made or sold. But we will have a brew very shortly. As i sit here typing this i am waiting for the Hot Liquor Tank to reach temperature and see how long it takes and can i do it on the timer as well? The answer will be known in the morning.
Then we will be going for a hot liquor run through the system and the final little bit or welding which is the building of a underback.
Right better get back to it can't leave my brother sorting the malt order out on his own.
Cheers JK
