Greenman first beer festival.....

We'll just been over to my local pub to see how the set up for their first beer festival is going. I have to say its looking good. I know the feeling of waiting for that first one, i hope theirs goes as well as my first beer festival. Running out in the first nine hours. Yes i know that sounds like failure but you have to start somewhere. Though having to say to 200 happy punter you have run out of beer has to be quickly followed with a note that you'll be opening the main bar shortly.
I wish the Greenman team all the best with the weekends festival. I will be there helping out Friday and maybe a couple of time over the weekend. Long live the beer festival scene, love it or hate it, it's a great chance to catch up with friends, make new ones and of course try a few new beers that maybe you haven't tired before or haven't tried since, well that last pint some where with those people you meet once........
Cheers JK

Beer n bikes

Well what can i say beer and bicycles just go together. You can be caught drunk in control of a bicycle ( don't want that, this is your Politically Correct (PC) notice) but the rest of the time they are great. I've been able to ride since i was about 2.5 years old. OK not as fast as others, but means i have been riding now for nearly 3 decades. in that time bikes have taken me all over the place and around even more cities, parks, breweries and events. So that's why the brewery will be a bike friendly place. Cycle parking, bicycle drays and all staff will be encouraged, if not brow beaten into cycling.
Just look at
www.pinkbike.com
www.fullhandsx3.blogspot.com
www.bmxunion.com/?bloggerURL=/
www.joeybmx.blogspot.com/
there all about bikes but all different. the world of bikes is massive and its a sustainable and usable transport. We just have to get out of the car way. I'm not saying cars are wrong they have there places as all technology does but we have to be more careful in the way we use it.
So that's my rant for now.
Cheers JK
PS; these rants will happen they are my view if you agree/disagree your welcome to your view. But remember "two ears and one mouth use them in that order" (swiped quote if any one can tell me were its from I'd be glad to know)
